JOC Empordá red wine

Wine made in Garriguella from vineyards selected by Jordi Oliver on markedly clayey soils, with granite and slate.

The choice of this area is to ensure that the grapes ripen in the event of a shortage of rain (to ensure that the grapes do not wilt before harvesting, thanks to the clay that retains moisture).

The black grenache (26%) gives this touch of fresh fruit, cherries and the varietal complexity and authenticity of the area. Merlot (29%) adds a bit of sweetness, color and roundness. Cabernet Sauvignon (45%) provides structure and power. It is aged in barrels for 8 months.

Cherry color, garnet. Mineral aromas of graphite (pencil lead), plums and ripe cherries. The predominant varietal stands out and has a marked touch of wood very well integrated.

In the mouth it is wide, filling all parts, soft tannins. Ripe cherries, plums and sweet spices. It has good persistence.
